Why you should NEVER, EVER let the opinion of only one insurance auditor determine
your premium liability.
Don't take our word for it, here are some excerpts from what the other experts are
saying...

  WORKERS' COMP: PARING PREMIUMS

Workers' compensation premiums have leveled off after a decade of hefty increases, but many employers
feel the cost is still too high. Enter expense-reduction consultants, who find savings through audits. Such
firms have long examined utility bills. Now, a growing number do workers' comp analysis. ...insurers and
their clients often miss deductions and discounts...it has found 75% of its clients overpaying on
premiums. Fees are a percentage (usually about 50%) of what the auditors save you.

Denver Business Journal: November 2000

REDUCE COSTS BY SPOTTING WORKERS' COMP OVERCHARGES
Studies show that roughly 90 percent of Colorado businesses reviewed are overcharged for their
premiums.  In fact, most businesses don't ever realize that they have been overcharged.  The easiest way to
review your records for overcharges is to contact an independent review company.  This would be a
company that is not affiliated with your insurance agent or insurance carrier, but will analyze the premium
calculations from your point of view, in complete confidence.

WORKERS' COMPENSATION: WHO REALLY PAYS THE CLAIM
Are you being overcharged by the workers compensation insurance system? When so many hands tinker
with your workers' compensation insurance, you're bound to be overcharged.  Are you sure that  your
year-end audits for the past 3 years are correct? How do you know? Has your agent helped you prepare for
the audits so the auditor becomes your friend and is in and out in 15 minutes?  Are you being overcharged
because you are paying the wrong rate for employees who are no longer with you? Are you sure that all
employees are listed in the right categories? Are you sure that you are paying premium on the right payroll?
That the right payroll is the regular payroll? How about overtime? How about fringe benefits?  Don't be
lulled into thinking that workers' compensation insurance is all the same. It is the most intricate of any
insurance you buy. Einstein would have trouble keeping it all straight and understanding the formula that
figures out how much you should pay.
